Additionally, the Carbon fiber frame and unique design allow you to have better control over the game with a smaller effort. At first glance, I judged this paddle based on its appearance, thinking it looked similar to a market paddles made with carbon fiber. But the practicality and performance of this paddle was a total surprise.

Let’s find out what the differences I had noticed after using this paddle.

Control and Spin

After playing some pickleball rounds with this paddle, I found that its Graphite carbon surface allowed me to add more spin to the ball and gave me greater control of the direction. The major difference was in topspin shots, as my paddle was able to spin the ball faster and with more accuracy.

If you look closely at the details, you’ll see “Ball control” branding on the paddle face. I’d say it is true to its word. The handle length of 5.5 inches is also vital in achieving good control by providing extra reach. While practicing two-handed backhand shots, this extra length of handle gave me a better grip and allowed me to have greater control. This paddle is also approved by USA Pickleball for tournament play:

Less vibration and more accuracy

The XS XSPAK paddle features a XS28 honeycomb core, which reduces vibration for a more comfortable feel. The lower level of vibration helps me maintain my focus on the direction of each shot and makes it easier to aim for the sweet spot.

On top of that, I found myself able to make shots from far away with the help of this paddle. Long and accurate shots are one of the advantages that I’ve noticed, which is due to the combination of the paddle’s lightweight head and its honeycomb core.

Durability at its finest

Even though the XS XSPAK is a lightweight paddle, it features a low-profile edge guard which helps keep the paddle from getting damaged over time. This unique design allows the core and frame to remain in place and prevents it from getting damaged too easily.

Not only does this design make the paddle more durable, but it also helps reduce mishits. I found that this paddle could take a few more beatings compared to other paddles in the market without taking too much of a toll on its performance.
